Description
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “The 2022 Carril del Rey, from a parcel that tends to produce pale wines in warm vintages, is generally the estate’s most classic wine. The vines were planted in the 1930s in the lower part of the estate and tend to be harvested last, but almost never reach full phenolic maturity. This wine contains only 13.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.28, and 5.74 grams of acidity. It has a nose of red berries and aromatic herbs, with a certain Mediterranean character, but with a crisp palate and effervescent acidity that makes it fresh despite the sensation of warmth on the palate. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with fine tannins, balanced, and harmonious. 850 bottles were filled in May 2024.” 93+ Points
